Sobhi said it has been a major challenge to secure and organize the tournament amid the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, especially in winter, noting in this regard that the Egyptian state is exerting its utmost efforts to ensure the event’s success.
Meanwhile, Sobhi said the Ministry of Youth and Sports has established three handball courts in the New Administrative Capital, 6th of October city and Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab city, adding that the court at Cairo International Stadium has been upgraded.
The youth minister considered that organizing the World Handball Championship in light of the novel coronavirus pandemic will be a milestone in the history of sports in the world, especially as Egypt will flop in the FIFA Club World Cup and the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021.
